Traveling France

Traveling to France is one of my favorite things! The land of the Eifel Tower, Croissant, and drinking wine before noon is not only my neighboring country but is also home to some of the most impressive sights in the entire world. From the buzzing and vibrant streets of Paris which is also the most beautiful city in the world to the lavender fields in Provence and the beauties of the Côte d’Azur, France never fails to charm me.

What to See in France

Oh France, the country of wine, style, fashion, croissant, baugette and the endless lavender fields. There is so much to explore and to do in France, that even though I visited it serval times, I am not even close to being done with it. There are also unlimited things to try and taste here from the sweet delicacy that is the crepe to the wonderful hearty Boeuf bourgiognon and everything else in between. So no matter if you are just spending a weekend in Paris, looking for the best cafés or restaurants in Paris or if you are soaking up the sun in the South of France, you are promised to have an amazing time!

Paris

france - paris

The city of love is one of the most romantic places in the entire world. The architecture of Paris is the dreamiest one can imagine. It takes maybe a thousand visits to actually take everything in.

Nice & the French Riviera

france - nice

Life never tasted sweeter than the Aperol Spritz on the beach bars of Nizza. Walking these fabulous streets is like walking through a movie set. It will make you feel chic and fancy like never before!

Provence

There is almost no area with a dreamier landscape than the Provence. With its soft hills and argiculture, it is one of those places that gives you the chance to escape the busy city pace, that we all got so used to.

French Alps

European Alps

Although there are many countries in Europe that have access to the Alps, the French Alps hit different. Villages like Chamonix just have a very different atmosphere. My ultimate goal is to come here for a ski season!

What to Eat in France

Where to begin? Apart from the obvious choices (you haven’t lived until you had authentic Parisian croissants and baguettes), French cuisine is filled with incredible dishes from savory to sweet. Some of them are also a little strange to foreign tongues but worth a try!

  • Tartare de boeuf – Minced beef with pickles and eggs. Usually served with salad and fries. Not for the Vegetarians but so delicious!
  • Croque Madame – A grilled ham and cheese sandwich that is served with an egg on top of it. Absolute classic!
  • Coq auf vin – This classical dish is chicken, cooked in wine and vegetables.
  • Boeuf bourguignon – this slow-cooked beef stew is usually served with noodles, bread, or potatoes and is simply to die for!
  • Escargots – the French classic – cooked snails – not for everyone but for everyone to try at least once!

  • Crème brûlée – Vanilla flan which’s surface gets caramelised. It is one of life’s biggest pleasures to crack through the hardened surface with a spoon.
  • Fondant au chocolate – A chocolate cake with a core of molten chocolate.
  • Crêpes – very flat pancake with toppings of your choice!
  • Macarons – the classic little French treat is simply to die for!
  • Tarte Tatin – Another French classic with caramelized apples in a tart!
