Hello and welcome back! It has been a while since I posted my last Bucket List posting but here we go again. This time I was able to do some biking in Copenhagen! To be honest this point was not on my bucket list before going to Copenhagen, although it should have been on it.
Furthermore you might ask yourself why something as simple as riding a bike in Copenhagen belongs on your bucket list. Compared to swimming with turtles or being on top of the Eiffel Tower, biking in Copenhagen seems to be incredible boring and I understand that.
But for me and my boyfriend visiting Copenhagen was a long dream. We both wanted to visit it for so long and then we finally got to do so!
For me the wish to see Denmark embraced after reading Meik Wiking’s book about hygge and this mindset really impressed me. I wanted to see, feel and experience this coziness and warmth as well.
In Denmark, riding your bike is essential. Copenhagen is one of the worlds most bike friendly cities and you really recognise how it influences people. They look overall happier and more relaxed. Biking and being exposed to fresh air everyday is also a great way to stay fit and healthy. And also to slow down. Detaching from a hectic and stressful life. And basically this is all what hygge is about and what I what to embrace each and every day.
Furthermore Copenhagen is really comfortable to visit. From the center you can reach every single sight within 20 minutes of biking. This makes it very easy and comfortable to visit it this beautiful city.
So What Are You Waiting For?
To be honest, you should just book your trip to Copenhagen. This city amazed me & I want to visit it again right now.
And if you are not eager to bike in Copenhagen, why not use this weekend to go on a biking tour, wherever you want to be! Trust me, you will feel amazing!
