Don’t Miss These 4 Restaurants in Bali!

Hello and welcome! Preparing for Bali was a bit hard because basically there is too much information about it. There are all sorts of posts about this island and everyone promises that their guide is the ultimate guide. It is just overwhelming. I won’t promise you that this list contains the ultimate list of special or extraordinary restaurants in Bali.

But here is the deal: I will show you my personal highlights. And then you have to decide to see if some of these restaurants are appealing enough to visit it. But I am pretty sure that at least one or two places on this list will blow your mind.

The Arwana in Nusa Dua

We have been to the laguna on our second evening and we couldn’t have been more amazed. The resort is extraordinary beautiful resort and it has an amazing restaurant too. If you are eating outside, you get the chance to sit directly next to the beach which is awesome!

They serve amazing dishes there and I bet everything you try will be great but I have two recommendations for you, that really blew me away!

Let’s start with the entree you should choose. They have a great range of sushi but their highlight is definitely their lobster roll. It might be a bit expensive but definitely worth it.

It comes arranged as shown below and it tastes overwhelmingly great. Sometimes I dream about it. Just kidding but it was the best sushi I ever had.

The next amazing thing they have mastered is to grill things. I don’t quite remember but we all had different things from the grill and we couldn’t decide which one was the best. I had the shrimps and they were so incredibly amazing.

You can make a reservation via their website which you can find here: Arwana Restaurant, Nusa Dua.

Finn’s in Canggu

If you are looking for one of the hotspots of Bali, look no further. Canggu itself is on of the islands highlights and really worth a visit. But Finn’s Beach Club is probably above it all and I promise you, it will blow you away. The whole building is made of wood which makes it so cozy and every fabric that is used is in the same turquoise colour, making it super chic.

When entering you have the chance to take a swim in the pool and have your cocktails directly from the pool which is amazing. If you want to eat something you can have a proper seat in a Japanese restaurant that serves some sushi. Or you can do, what we decided to do. Directly above the beach is a lounge with a view across the ocean.

You get to spend at least 120€ on food for one table but you can sit there with six persons, making it only 20€ per person. We had some awesome things to drink and to eat. The branded coconut was not only picturesque but also delicious.

Regarding the food, I can’t recommend basically anything that is on the menu! We went there for a late lunch and shared all the dishes. Literally anything was delicious from the pizza, to the sushi, to the nachos and finally the ribs. I know this sounds like a wild mix but this happens when everyone has a different taste on one table!

So you see, I can’t praise this lounge enough. We had such a great time at this place and I would have loved to spend even more time there. Especially as a surfer, this might be the ideal place to be. For more information, you can find their website here: Finn’s Beach Club!

Bumbu Bali in Nusa Dua

The Bumbu Bali was another fantastic place but not like the other ones. This one offers a great traditional Balinese food experience and is one of Indonesia’s hidden gems! We decided to have it as our dinner but another great thing they offer are cooking classes. Looking back I am really sad that I missed this, but my time in Bali was short.

We spend our evening there and were amazed by the traditional dishes we had. It was a selection of the finest satays and rice with different sauces. As the dessert we had a variation of tropical fruits that were awesome too.

Sangkar Restaurant in the Bvlgari Resort in Uluwatu

I first heard of the Bvlgari Resort of Uluwatu from a friend of mine that I met in Kuala Lumpur. He told me that the Bvlgari is the place where he always goes for a drink when he is in Bali since it has the bar with the best view on the entire island. The best view of the entire island is something that I just didn’t want to miss, so we didn’t hesitate to visit it!

We arrived to Bvlgari’s incredible lobby, which was enough to take our breath away. Since we didn’t make a reservation, we had to wait for a while for the staff to arrange a table for us, so I heavily advise you to call them first. In the end, we got a place and they brought us to the bar with a golf cart (!).

Once we were at the bar, we could admire the best view of Bali. Next to us was the hotel’s incredible pool and I doubt there is a better mojito in the entire world!

After the drink we took our seats at the Sangkar Restaurant and had our dinner. The restaurant serves traditional Balinese food that comes with a modern and international twist.

The Bvlgari Resort is, without doubt, one of the most incredible places I ever visited and it was such a pleasure to be able to spend some time there.

This was the list of my favorite restaurants in Bali! I hope that it was helpful to you and that it inspires you to visit them! Please let me know if you liked them as much as I did.
